Sanmartí 1018 Garnatxa Sumoll
Aged for 12 months in french oak barrels, this intense and full-bodied red wine is the perfect synthesis that defines the minerality of D.O. Pla de Bages wine region, in central Catalonia.
While the Garnatxa gives color and spices, as well as softness and maturity, the Sumoll adds the perfect counterpoint of rusticity and acidity to the whole blend.
An excellent wine to enjoy on its own or in combination with a generous meal.

- On the nose: Powerful oak aromas and mature notes of mineral soils.
- On the palate: Dense and well balanced, with a mix of sweet notes of red berries and soft citrus. The volume and warmth of the Garnatxa dominates the entry in mouth while the tension and freshness of the Sumoll acts as a counterpoint in the aftertaste.
- Food pairing recommendations: Pastas, red meats, rice dishes.
- Serving temperature: Serve between 14ºC and 16ºC. (Decanting recommended).
Manual harvest and grapes selection. With the cold harvest, skimming and a second grain-by-grain selection were made, in order to eliminate any damaged grain.
The grapes were then sent whole in an open wooden boot, where they fermented at a controlled temperature of 18ºC.
Aged during 12 months in French oak barrels.
